When music becomes the heart of learning
At New School Lyon, pedagogical innovation never ceases to surprise and enrich our students' educational experience. This week, the French-English bilingual school in Lyon's 8th arrondissement was the scene of an event as unique as it was enriching: a 'relaxation week' devoted entirely to music, brilliantly orchestrated by the PSM/MSM teacher.
Harmony between learning and relaxation
In a world where education is constantly reinventing itself, New School Lyon is leading the way by integrating music as a fundamental tool in children's development. The idea, born of the creative initiative of the PSM/MSM teacher, was to devote an entire week to the discovery and exploration of music in all its forms.
Activities in perfect harmony
During this special week, the classrooms were transformed into spaces of expression and creativity. The children plunged into a world where musical notes blended with the learning of French and English.
The aim was twofold: to offer students a moment to relax and enjoy themselves, while at the same time stimulating :
- their cognitive development
- their ability to listen
- and creativity.
Here, music becomes a vehicle for learning, encouraging memorization, concentration and even the mastery of new languages.
