At New School, kindness does not mean an absence of cues. It rests on a clear, explained, consistent and respectful environment. Children know what is expected of them. Families understand the school's expectations. Teachers share a common language.
Our conviction is simple: a child progresses better in an environment that is stable, readable, demanding and warm.
This consistency is built every day: in the classroom, in the playground, at the canteen, during transitions, in conversations with families and in the way adults respond to difficulties.
Four pillars
Four pillars that reinforce each other
Our project rests on four pillars that reinforce each other. None of them works alone. Academic rigour without cues does not hold. Bilingualism without structure does not produce lasting progression. Attention to the child without rigour loses its impact. And rules without kindness become sterile.
Academic rigour
French national curriculum, foundations, study method, general culture and progressive autonomy.
Bilingual 50/50
One day in French, one day in English, with English used as a language of learning.
PBIS framework
Clear expectations, a common language, behaviours taught, consistency between adults.
Real attention to each child
Limited class sizes, careful observation, support according to needs and progress monitoring.
