The school
A bilingual school in Lyon, structured since 1979
46 years of expertise at the service of an ambitious project
New School is a private school under contract simple with the French state. It follows the national curriculum and adds a full bilingual program, ambitious supervision ratios, individual progress tracking and a school life built on PBIS.

An intuition that became continuity
When New School opened its doors in 1979
Bilingual primary education barely existed in France. A founding intuition: not to wait for middle school to expose children to English, and to do it seriously, from preschool, not as a separate subject but as a language of life.
46 years later, this intuition has become an evidence for many schools. For us, it remains an ongoing ambition: to organise bilingualism, measure it, sustain it, and embed it in a clear educational framework.

Transformation
A school that owns its transformation
In recent years, New School has clarified its project, strengthened its teaching and leadership teams, repositioned its expectations, and placed education back at the centre.
This evolution was necessary to guarantee a coherent, demanding and sustainable framework.
A serious school is not a rigid school: it is a school that knows why it exists.
For whom?
A school for families aligned with its project
New School welcomes families who share its project: a real bilingual model, a clear educational framework, academic ambition, and constructive cooperation between home and school. Admission is not automatic. It requires alignment between the family project and the school's project.
